In October 2009, ReSound launched their brand new line of hearing aids known as Live. Although these have now been superseded by the Alera range, they were cutting edge technology at this time. The Live is available in a wide range of styles, from a small CIC (Completely in Canal) to a BTE (Behind the Ear.
The ReSound Live has several different models and different levels of technology, the Resound Live 9 Hearing Aids, Resound Live 7 Hearing Aids, or Resound Live 5 Hearing Aids. The higher range models have more channels, meaning it is easier for you and your audiologist to programme your hearing aid to suit your needs perfectly. This range also features the Live TS, a hearing aid that not only offers a solution to your everyday hearing needs but has an extra feature that helps those who suffer from tinnitus. The TSG (Tinnitus Sound Generator) produces sounds that draw your attention away from the noise of your tinnitus, making it more manageable.
The Live range comes as standard with DFS (Digital Feedback Suppression) which eliminates the annoying whistling noise you can sometimes experience. It also features Noise Tracker II, designed to remove background noise, leaving speech clearer. The Onboard Analyser is also a brilliant feature as it logs the activity on your hearing aid so your audiologist can see what is happening and make any adjustments quickly and easily.
All Live hearing aids feature ReSounds iSolate Nanotech. This is an innovative new process that involves using nanotechnology to apply a highly waterproof coating to the hearing aid. This can prolong the life of the hearing aid by protecting it from substances such as earwax or water.
Although the Live range are exc ellent hearing aids, they have, as mentioned before, been superseded by the Alera. These offer all the features of the Live range but with a superior 2.4 gHz processor and the option of wireless compatibility.

This offers a wide range of models and so it would cater for almost all hearing losses. Now been replaced by the Alera 9, which has all the features available in the Live 9 plus wireless capability.
Has mid level technology. It has the same number of channels and some of the same features as the Live 9. If you require wireless capability then you may want to look at the Alera 7.
