The ReSound Vea was launched as a low cost option for people with hearing loss. It has been designed to be a ‘Budget range’ alternative to the Alera range of hearing aids. It has 6 different style options to choose from, 3 BTE (Behind The Ear) and 3 custom models.
It is available in 3 technology levels, the Resound Vea 1 Hearing Aids, Resound Vea 2 Hearing Aids and Resound Vea 3 Hearing Aids although comparatively there is not a great deal of difference between the levels. Like the Alera range, they come with DFS (Digital Feedback Suppression) which eliminates the annoying whistling noise you can sometimes experience and also feature Noise Tracker II, designed to remove background noise, leaving speech clearer.
Depending on the level you choose, you can have up to 7 channels on the Vea and the higher levels feature PhoneNow. This allows your hearing aid to automatically switch to your phone program when a telephone receiver is placed by the ear.
Vea hearing aids also feature ReSounds iSolate Nanotech. This is an innovative new process that involves using nanotechnology to apply a highly waterproof coating to the hearing aid. This can prolong the life of the hearing aid by protecting it from substances such as earwax or water.
As this is a lower cost range, the Vea is not wireless compatible so if this is something you feel you would benefit from then you may want to try the Alera. These are in a higher price range but have more features, wireless technology and a much faster processor.
