In 2009 Starkey launched an economy range of hearing aids known as the E Series. Available in 2 levels of technology it was designed to be a hearing aid with good technology but at a lower cost. The Upper level of technology in this range is the E Series 3
The E Series 3 is available in the following styles
BTE – (Behind the Ear)
RIC – (Receiver in Canal)
CIC – (Completely in Canal)
ITC – (In the Canal)
ITE – (In the Ear)
Features include
• 4 Channels - Each channel processes a range of frequencies so the more channels you have, the more specifically it can be programmed to suit your hearing needs.
• Feedback Cancellation – This helps to eliminate the annoying whistling sounds that can sometimes occur.
• Sweep Technology – This allows you to change volume or memory settings easily with one touch.
In conclusion the Starkey E Series 3 is the higher level of technology in this budget range but does not offer anywhere near the kind of features available in some of the other ranges. It has been directly replaced by Starkeys Ignite 30, which despite also being a lower cost option, offers far better technology and wireless options.
