The Passion range of hearing aids is available in 4 levels of technology, the Passion 440 (high end technology range), Passion 115 (high end technology range, Passion 110 (mid level technology range and Passion 105 (entry level technology range).  The housing of the Passion hearing aid is very small indeed which gives an excellent level of discretion, style and comfort.

The Passion 440 was launched by Widex in August 2009, Passion 115 in April 2008 and both Passion 110 and 105 in May 2008.  Passion is a receiver in the canal (RIC) instrument suitable for people who have from a minimal through to a severe hearing loss.

The Passion 440 and Passion 115 both have the advantage of 15 channels and 5 programs and are high end technology level hearing aids.  The Passion 110 has 10 channels and 2 programs and the Passion 105 has 5 channels and 2 programs.

The Widex Audibility Extender is an impressive feature of the Passion 440 and 115.  The Audibility Extender takes sounds that the user is unable to hear and reproduces them to where the wearer has some hearing.

Integrated Signal Processing technology in the Passion range controls and coordinates the hearing aid during changes in the listening environment, for example when going from a quiet environment to a noisy environment.  The feedback canceller minimises feedback and feedback whistling.

Tinnitus can be a distressing problem for many and the Passion 440 has available a feature called Zen.  Zen uses sounds and tunes to help the wearer control their tinnitus symptoms.

Widex has incorporated into the Passion 440 a verbal messaging system called SmartSpeak.  With SmartSpeak the user will hear a recorded voice talking you through functions of the hearing aid eg low battery alert or program mode.

The receiver on the hearing instrument is protected by the nano care wax protection system.

A remote control is also available to purchase with the Passion hearing aids thereby giving the wearer full control of the hearing aid at the touch of a button.

Eco Tech technology means that the hearing aid only uses power when in active use therefore extending the battery life of the instrument.

For the fashion conscious, the Passion hearing aids are available in an impressive selection of colours for you to choose from.

In summary the Passion is a family of hearing aids with some excellent features.  The Widex Passion gives excellent sound quality whatever the individual listening environment at a price range to suit every budget.
