The Dynamo range came out in November 2015 and is the new Superpower range from Oticon
The Oticon Dynamo SP6 is the lower mid-range hearing aid in Oticon's superpower series and is designed for people with a severe to profound loss who have fairly simple hearing requirements and don't spend much time in noisy situations.
This aid is a fairly large BTE with a 13 battery. It's a bit smaller than average for a superpower aid.
It comes with a spinning volume control with firm stopping points at each end and runs from 1 to 4.
Max power output = 143 dB SPL.
Full-on-gain = 82 dB.
The Dynamo SP6 has many of the same features as the more sophisticated SP8 and SP10. click here to read more in the SP10 article. It is clearer to list below the differences between this model and the other ones.
No Spatial noise management
No Binaural synchronisation and a more basic level of Freefocus and background noise reduction.
Only 6 frequency bands but still the same 16 channels
The net result is that speech in a quiet envirornment is not affected very much but your ability to hear well in noise will be significantly lower than with the more expensive models.
