| Update: This hearing aid is now discontinued.
The Milo Plus was launched by Phonak in 2009 as a basic option for customers who are a little more cost conscious when it comes to buying a hearing aid.
It is available in 3 BTE (Behind the Ear) Styles
Milo Plus Micro
Milo Plus SP
Milo Plus UP
It also comes in several custom ITE (In the Ear) models
CIC - (Completely in Canal)
MC - (Mini Canal)
ITC - (In the Canal)
HS - (Half Shell)
FS - (Full Shell)
Despite only being a budget model, the Milo Plus still has a good variety of features, these include
• 4 Channels - Each channel processes a range of frequencies so the more channels you have, the more specifically it can be programmed to suit your hearing needs.
• Whistleblock – To give the wearer freedom from the annoying feedback that can occur.
• NoiseCanceller – This is designed to suppress background noise leaving speech clearer.
• AOV (Accoustically Optimised Vent) – This ensures the wearer has minimum occlusion
Like many other basic hearing aids, the Milo Plus is not compatible with Phonaks range of wireless accessories.
In conclusion, the Phonak Milo Plus is a basic hearing aid designed for people who need a good level of technology but have no need for extras such as wireless capability. It has the more budget conscious customer in mind and is available in a range of styles and colours. If you are looking for this basic, lower cost kind of hearing aid but with newer technology, you may want to try the Phonak Dalia.
