| Update: This hearing aid is now discontinued.
The Mind ‘family’ of hearing aids are available in 3 levels of technology, the Mind 440 (high-end technology range), Mind 330 (mid range) and Mind 220 (entry level range).
Launched by the Danish hearing aid manufacturer Widex in May 2009 the Mind 330 comes in 5 models from Micro behind the ear, 2 models of BTE, (behind-the-ear), CIC (completely-in-canal), and finally ITE (in-the-ear). This gives a model for everyone.
The Mind 330 range is a mid-technology level hearing aid and has 10 channels and 4 programmes.
With tinnitus being a problem for many people, Mind 330 has available a feature called Zen which uses sounds and tunes to help the wearer control their tinnitus symptoms.
Some styles of the Widex Mind 330 have telecoils fitted and FM compatibility.
All of the Mind 330 have SmartSpeak which uses recorded voice talking the user through the functions of the hearing aid for examble program or battery status.
Another impressive feature of the Mind 330 is the audibility extender. The audibility extender takes sounds that are outside the users range and reproduces them into an area that they are able to hear.
For the fashion conscious, the Micro BTE and BTE models are available in several colour choices.
In summary the Widex Mind 330 is a mid-technology range of hearing aids containing the very latest in technology. Whether your hearing loss is minimal to moderate/severe there is a Mind 330 to fit your hearing loss.
As the Mind 330 sits in the middle of the Mind range you may also wish to look at the Widex Mind 440 if you are looking for a higher technology hearing aid or those looking for a lower priced hearing aid might like the Widex Mind 220
