The Resound Enya 2 arrived in October 2015 and is the most basic of their "Value" range.
The Enya 2 is the most basic aid in Resound's latest range but is significantly more sophisticated than most of the other budget aids brought out this year so you get a lot of features for the money.
The Enya 2 has the same "Noisetracker 2" and "Adaptive Directionality" features as its big brothers, the Enya 3 and 4 but it lacks the Softswitching feature, meaning that this is not an automatic aid. Also of importance is that it is not a wireless aid either so the hearing aids do not communicate with each other. However, provided that you are happy with changing the program manually to a "hearing in noise" setting for example when you visit a restaurant, then the hearing aid performs pretty well in noise. Just not as seamlessly as the more expensive options as you have to change it yourself. As far as sacrifices for a less expensive aid go, that seems quite fair for the lower price.
6 Warp Channels
Six channels for the cheapest aid in the range is more than you could normally hope for and is a significant improvement over the competition in this price bracket.
Tinnitus sound generator
This aid does have the tinnitus masking feature but only as a manual program option as the Enya 2 is not compatible with the Resound Relief app.
This is where the Enya 2 falls over, it is not compatible with any of Resound's Unite accessories apart from the basic Remote Control 2. If you want to stream the sounds from your TV or phone then this is not the aid for you.
