What makes the S RX 3 different to the 5

All models in the Moxi S-RX range use the same ERA chip, the same RIC housing, the same Bluetooth system, and the same charger. What changes between tiers is the level of automatic processing built in for more demanding listening situations.

The S-RX 3 includes the core processing that matters most in everyday settings: Pinna Effect, Speech Enhancement, and Noise Reduction, all running automatically. It recognises two listening environments, Conversation in Quiet and Conversation in Noise, and adjusts between them without any input from you.

What it does not include is Soft Speech processing or Pinna Effect 2, both of which are added on the S-RX 5. It also has 12 fine-tuning channels rather than the 16 on the 5, which gives your audiologist slightly less scope for fine adjustments, though in practice, this matters most to people with more complex hearing profiles.

For people whose hearing difficulty is mainly in quiet, one-to-one settings, the S-RX 3 does a solid, reliable job. If your days also involve regular trips to busier, more variable environments, the S-RX 5's wider range of automatic adjustment will serve you noticeably better.

The S-RX 3 recognises and adapts to two listening environments automatically:

Connectivity and app

The Moxi S-RX 3 connects via Bluetooth to both iPhone and Android smartphones, as well as tablets and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. You can pair up to eight devices and have two connected at once, with hands-free calling working reliably through the aids themselves.
