Hidden Hearing is a national hearing aid retailer with its head office in Maidstone, Kent. It was founded in 1987 and in 2000 was purchased by the William Demant Holding group. William Demant also owns the hearing aid Manufacturers Oticon and Bernafon.
Given that they are wholly owned by the same company that owns Oticon and Bernafon you can expect that they are likely to recommend these brands of hearing aids.
There is nothing wrong with Hidden Hearing selling Oticon hearing aids but they’re not exactly upfront about the relationship. In fairness, Oticon does make good hearing aids, they’re just not the only manufacturer out there.
What many people find frustrating is that they have some of their hearing aids “rebranded”. This is where a product’s identity is obscured by giving it another name. An example of this is when Oticon launched its flagship product the Oticon Agil Pro back in 2010.
Hidden Hearing costs
It was rebranded the Oticon K220 by Hidden Hearing. For the record, these were retailed at over £7000 for a pair! We can provide the same hearing aids for much less! Be sure to check out our prices for Oticon hearing aids. We’ve listed the Hidden Hearing rebrand name in brackets next to the description.
Your Hearing believes the consumer should be offered the choice of all commercially available hearing aids with impartiality. We believe in delivering not only a top-quality service and aftercare but at a low, fair price. We do not agree with the methodology of rebranding and the confusion it causes to the consumer.
