Oticon Zircon 2 Hearing Aids

Available in miniRITE R, miniRITE T, miniBTE R, and miniBTE T styles, Oticon Zircon 2 hearing aids were launched in March 2022 on the Polaris platform. This expansion of Oticon's hearing aid range introduces Zircon, an essential hearing aid family that incorporates popular technology from Oticon More. (See Oticon Zircon 1 for the higher level of technology and features in the range.)

Positioned as the introductory performance level in the Zircon range, Zircon 2 offers essential features ideal for dealing with difficult listening environments though some functionalities and technology present in Zircon 1 are not available in this model.

 Oticon Zircon 2 hearing aids continue to emphasise both functionality and adaptability, equipped with 2.4 GHz Bluetooth technology, various connectivity options for both iPhone and some Android systems.

 With two rechargeable models and a versatile fitting range, the available styles include two rechargeable models (miniRIC R and miniBTE R) and two traditional battery models (miniRIC T and miniBTE T).

 Additionally, there are five colour options: Chroma Beige, Silver Grey, Steel Grey, Chestnut Brown, and Diamond Black.

What you Lose:

In terms of speech understanding features, Zircon 2 lacks the OpenSound Navigator, a technology that enables a 360-degree clear and balanced speech experience in various environments.

Additionally, Zircon 2 does not include Speech Guard, a technology designed to impact speech understanding.

Regarding listening comfort features, Zircon 2 does not feature Transient Noise Management, designed to enhance comfort with transient sounds, meaning they could cause discomfort.

Despite the absence of these features, Zircon 2 retains essential sound quality elements such as processing channels and bass boost for streaming. Personalisation, optimised fitting features, and seamless connectivity are still present in Zircon 2.
